This Guided Tour offers BETD guests the opportunity to visit the Urban Tech Republic on the site of the former Tegel Airport. By attracting unique start-ups and industrial companies, this location has developed into an innovative research and industrial park for urban technologies.  

As part of this BETD side event, various energy sources and technology solutions in the field of energy transition will be covered, including hydrogen and flexibility in the energy system. For instance, the tour will feature a presentation of the structure and benefits of the local business community as well as a demonstration of a state-of-the-art prototype zinc intermediate electrolyzer.
