ALDI SÜD has 1940 stores in Germany and employs around 47,500 people. The discounter takes responsibility for its customers and employees, for nature, the environment and society. Since 2017, ALDI SÜD has been acting in a climate-neutral manner, as the first food retailer in Germany. More than 1300 ALDI SÜD stores have their own photovoltaic system on the roof. The electricity produced there is used, among other things, for cooling and lighting - and at more and more stores also for electric charging stations: customers can charge their electric cars at 250 stores.
