APEX Group is a pioneer in the transition to green energy. The company, which has its headquarters in Rostock-Laage, enables customers to convert their conventional energy supplies to decentralized green hydrogen. They help with project development, procurement, and construction as well as management and maintenance of their system. In recent years, the APEX Group has worked with the Fraunhofer Institute to develop its own pressurized hydrogen storage systems to ensure a reliable supply. Together, with established research institutions (especially the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis), the Rostock-based company is currently developing the next major innovation: the chemical storage of hydrogen. In May 2021, the company launched the largest at that time, grid-connected hydrogen plant in Europe. This hydrogen plant will enable the APEX Group to supply the company site and, in the future, the adjacent industrial park completely CO2-neutral.
The APEX Group has already received several awards for its pioneering work. In 2021, the company won "Hydrogen Innovation of the Year", a German Renewable Award. In 2020, under the patronage of Hamburg Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher, the APEX Group was awarded the title of "Maker of the Year" in the "Future" category.
